Vieiro, entidad de interés para la comunidad autónoma de Galicia en materia de drogodependencias.
El Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG) publicó 26/12/2005 la orden por la que se declara a la asociación Vieiro de interés para la comunidad autónoma en materia de drogodependencias. Este tipo de reconocimiento está previsto para las entidades que estén llevando a cabo, exclusivamente, programas o servicios en el campo de las drogodependencias dentro de las líneas establecidas en el Plan de Galicia sobre Drogas vigente. En el caso de la asociación carballesa, ese trabajo se centra en la prevención y la incorporación social.
Vieiro inició su andadura en septiembre de 1991, y desde entonces ha desarrollado un programa continuado de actividades de orientación a las familias y los toxicómanos, además de promover campañas de información, prevención y de fomentar actividades culturales y deportivas destinadas, sobre todo, a escolares.
